Intern (Public Health)


Chalasani Satwik is an aspiring Public Health professional pursuing MPH post-graduation from Indian Institute of Public Health,Delhi. With a foundation in epidemiology, Health economics and policy, Biostatistics, Health systems management and evaluation, his skill set includes data collection, analysis, and written and oral communication. His areas of interest are One Health, Epidemiology and Health Economics and policy.

Chalasani Satwik has had volunteering experience during his undergraduate degree where he assisted in rescuing and treating free roaming dogs suffering from infections or injuries due to road traffic accidents and this experience changed his outlook on free roaming dogs and during his master’s course as part of guest lectures he attended a lecture on one health and has since been following and learning about the field of One health. In his leisure time, Chalasani Satwik enjoys activities such as reading, exploring historical landmarks, photography, and watching movies.

Chalasani Satwik has skills of flexibility, adaptability and lateral thinking. Currently He is interning with CreIndia team at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati for the project ‘Implementing comprehensive One Health approach to eliminate dog-mediated rabies’. He believes this opportunity would help enhance his understanding of social determinants of health and strengthen his epidemiological and public health skills through hands-on exposure in the field by community and economic surveys and health education in the northeast region of India.
