Dr. Juana Hatwik

Associate Project Scientist

Dr. Juana Hatwik is an interdisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of molecular biology and public health. Her research focuses on understanding major health challenges, including cancer and infectious diseases, through molecular and genomic approaches. She is experienced in integrating wet-lab experimentation with omics-based analyses and has a particular interest in translating molecular insights into public health applications and disease prevention strategies.

She completed her Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, where she investigated how naturally occurring dietary compounds influence breast cancer at the molecular level. Building on her earlier training in health sciences at Savitribai Phule Pune University, she developed a strong interest in linking biological mechanisms with population health outcomes.

Dr. Hatwik has authored scientific publications in international journals in the fields of cancer biology, transcriptomics, and nutrition research. Through her work in rabies control, she aims to connect scientific research with public health practice to advance disease prevention and management.
