Dr. Juana Hatwik

Associate Project Scientist


Dr. Juana Hatwik is a passionate researcher who works to improve public health through science. She is especially interested in understanding diseases like cancer and infectious diseases and finding ways to prevent them in real-world settings.

She completed her Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, where she studied how natural food compounds can affect breast cancer. Her journey began in health sciences at Savitribai Phule Pune University, where she developed a strong interest in connecting science with community health.

Beyond the lab, Dr. Hatwik is deeply committed to translating research into action. Through her work in rabies control, she focuses on raising awareness, supporting communities, and contributing to disease prevention efforts. She believes that science should not only generate knowledge but also create meaningful change in people’s lives. Outside her work, she enjoys reading mystery novels, drawing, and exploring documentaries on science and society.
